For 175 years, the story of Mattner - Magen (Morgen) & Higginson family legacy is a woven tapestry of resilience, passion and determination. From our ancestors’ arrival in 1838, to founding pioneers of Barossa Valley in 1843, then planting some of the first vines on Jacobs Creek in 1848, seven generations have toiled the land and crafted wines of unique terroir. Today, under seventh-generation custodian Scott Higginson, we honour this heritage through handcrafted, low-intervention winemaking.
